Bankruptcy
JOEL H. KLEIN & ASSOCIATES offers a broad based general bankruptcy practice.
We provide services to creditors whose claims have found their way into bankruptcy proceedings. We can provide representation for both secured and unsecured creditors; to include anything from simply filing a Proof of Claim in order to protect the client's interest, to filing an adversary complaint to avoid discharge of the creditor's debt if circumstances warrant doing so.
For individuals or entities with significant debt, we offer both counseling and representation in Chapter 7 Liquidation and Chapter 13 Reorganization. We believe that it is important for our clients to consider alternatives to bankruptcy prior to filing and we prefer to meet with the clients and discuss these options to determine the best path for them.
If you are an individual or Entity who wishes to consider filing bankruptcy, please feel free to call our office to set up an appointment. We would ask that you bring certain information with you to the meeting so that we might better assist you in determining if bankruptcy is right for you. Please remember that this initial meeting will be completely confidential and at no charge to the prospective client.
Please bring the following items to the initial consultation appointment:
- Itemized list of monthly expenses
- Monthly pay stubs or other statements of income
- List of liabilities, including arrearage on secured debts
- List of personal and real property
